What’s changing
Connected Sheets provides the power and scale of a BigQuery data warehouse in the familiar context of Google Sheets. Starting today, we’re increasing the maximum number of rows of results returned from BigQuery for pivot tables and for data extracts:
- Pivot tables have been expanded to 50,000 rows (previously 30,000)
- Data extracts have been expanded to 50,000 rows (previously 25,000)
Getting started
- Admins: There is no admin control for this feature. Connected Sheets will be ON by default. To use it, you must have set up BigQuery for your organization and users must have access to tables or views in BigQuery. Use our Help Center to learn more about how to set up Connected Sheets.
- End users:
- This feature will be ON by default. To use it, you must be able to use Connected Sheets with BigQuery connections and have the access required to work with pivot tables and extracts.
- The default row limit for extracts is 25,000. To select a different row limit, open the extracts editor for the extract you want to change by clicking on any cell in the extract. There you will see “Row Limit” > use the dropdown to select the new limit or type a custom limit less than or equal to 50,000 in the “Row Limit” dropdown text editor > click “Apply”.
