What’s changing
Going forward, Google Meet hardware devices, including Series One Board 65 and Desk 27 devices will now adhere to the following service statuses:
- For organizational units (OUs) that contain Google Meet hardware devices, the Calendar service status must be ON for devices to access an assigned calendar.
- Series One Board 65 and Desk 27 devices will comply with the Jamboard ON/OFF service status. Jamboard will not be accessible on these devices if the service is turned OFF.
This change could impact access to Calendar and Jamboard across your Meet hardware fleet — we strongly recommend reviewing these settings before April 22, 2024 to ensure there are no disruptions.

Admins:
- You can check your Calendar service status by going to Apps > Google Workspace > Settings for Calendar > Service Status. Visit the Help Center to learn more about turning the Calendar service on or off and assigning a calendar to a device.
- You can check your Jamboard service status by going to Apps > Google Workspace > Settings for Jamboard > Service Status. Visit the Help Center to learn more about turning the Jamboard service on or off.
Rollout pace
- Rapid Release and Scheduled Release domains: Gradual rollout (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starting on April 22, 2024.
Availability
- Available to Google Workspace customers with Google Meet hardware licenses.
