Create or import text watermarks in Google Docs
Quick summary
You can now add a text watermark to your documents in Google Docs. Additionally, when working with Microsoft Word documents, text watermarks will be preserved when importing or exporting your files.
Getting started
- Admins: There is no admin control for this feature.
- End users: To get started, go to Insert > Watermark > Text. Visit the Help Center to learn more about adding watermarks in Docs.
Rollout pace
- Rapid Release domains: Gradual rollout (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starting on January 24, 2022
- Scheduled Release domains: Gradual rollout (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starting on February 14, 2022
Availability
- Available to all Google Workspace customers, as well as legacy G Suite Basic and Business customers
